Terms of Service for Receipt Works

1. Acceptance of terms 

By using Receipt Works, provided by PAC General LLC, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

2. What the app does

Receipt Works helps you capture, read, organize, store, sync, restore, convert, and export transaction records and their images.

3. Your account

Accounts are part of ReceiptWorks Pro. You are responsible for your account and for the information you add, review, export, and rely on. A subscription may be used on up to 2 devices signed in to your account.

4. Free trial and subscriptions

• The free trial includes a limited number of scans and exports. It is used without an account, and trial records are stored on your device.

• ReceiptWorks Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual). Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.

• It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.

• Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

• If your subscription ends, your account becomes view-and-export only for 60 days. After that, the account and its cloud data are permanently deleted unless you subscribe again. We email you when it ends and 7 days before deletion.

5. Automatic reading and AI

Automatic reading, AI processing (provided through OpenAI), currency detection, blur checks, and edge detection are aids. They may be incomplete or wrong, and AI features may change or be unavailable at times. Always review the results.

6. Currencies and exchange rates

Exchange rates come from a third-party source (European Central Bank data) for the transaction date and are provided for convenience. They may differ from the rate your bank or card issuer applied; you can edit them.

7. No financial, tax, or legal advice

Receipt Works does not provide accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. Reports — including the Tax Summary and its Schedule C references — are for information only and should be reviewed independently before official, tax, or business use.

8. Availability and accuracy

The app is provided "as is". Features such as reading, sync, restore, and exports may not always be error-free or uninterrupted.

9. Your records and backups

Although the app offers cloud backup and restore, you remain responsible for keeping any records or copies you need. Export your records (PDF or CSV) to keep your own copies — especially before a subscription ends.

10. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app, interfere with its operation or services, attempt unauthorized access, or use it in violation of applicable laws.

11. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription — cancel it in your store account settings.

13. Changes and termination

We may update features and these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
